With due festivities and exhilaration, the Diamond, Golden, and Silver jubilee celebration of 15 priests including His Eminence Cardinal Patrick D’Rozario, CSC took place in Moreau House, Rampura. The central part of the celebration, the Holy Eucharist, was offered by Cardinal Patrick D’Rozario, CSC. Along with the Cardinal, Bishop Theotonius Gomes, CSC, Bishop Ponen Kubi, CSC, Bishop Gervas Rozario, CSC, and Bishop Shorot Gomes were present as concelebrants. His Eminence Cardinal Patrick D’Rozario, CSC celebrated his 60 years of vowed life and 50 years of priestly life, Rev. Fr. Frank Quinlivan, CSC celebrated his 60 years of vowed life and 50 years of priestly life, Rev. Fr. Gilles Lague, CSC celebrated his 60 years of vowed life and Fr. Samar Cruze, CSC, celebrated his 50 years of vowed life. Three priests, namely Fr. James S. Gomes, CSC; Fr. Anthony S. Gomes, CSC; and Fr. Lawrence Das, CSC celebrated their 25 years of priestly life. Apart from that, a number of priests including Fr. George K. Rozario, CSC; Fr. Lawrence Rebeiro, CSC; Fr. Dominic Sarkar, CSC, Fr. Thaddeus Hembrom, CSC; Fr. Placid P. Rozario, CSC; Fr. Uzzal L. Rozario, CSC; Fr. Amol Rozario, CSC; Fr. Robert Gomes, CSC celebrated their 25 years of vowed life.
In the homily, His Eminence Cardinal Patrick D’Rozario, CSC, mentioned that, for the number of priests celebrating jubilee, in other words, celebrating the consecration of their lives, this celebration has become a celebration of the entire congregation, where the members of the congregation assemble and praise God for the lives and services rendered to the church by their brothers.
The presence of Monsignor Marinko Antolovic, secretary of His Eminence Archbishop George Kocherry; Honorable Br. Lawrence Subal Rozario, CSC, provincial, Brothers of Holy Cross, Sr. Shikha Gomes, CSC, and Fathers, Brothers, Sisters and the guests of the Jubilee celebrant Fathers made the program blissful.
After the Holy Eucharist, a reception program was organized in the honor of the priests celebrating their jubilee. The jubilarians expressed their gratitude and genuine feelings emanating straight from their hearts. The reception program was terminated by a thanksgiving speech by the Provincial of Sacred Heart Province, Fr. George K. Rozario, CSC. Finally, a festive banquet ended the program.
