Mission & Spirituality
We are an active apostolic religious community. We have a deep commitment to the mission of the church and have a missionary mentality. We are open to the call of the Church to go wherever there is need and to engage in many kinds of ministry, both in Bangladesh and in 16 countries. A strong preferential option for the poor underlies much of our ministry.
We draw our spirituality and charism from Blessed Basile Anthony Moreau, our founder who founded the Congregation of Holy Cross to send the members to be educators in the faith. We have many ministries. Whatever we do, we pursue to educate in the faith: we develop the mind, cultivate the heart, enkindle a zeal for service, encourage hope in the cross, and unite with others as family.

Education
- Notre Dame School & College
Notre Dame School & College is a brand new work for us in Srimangal. Classes will begin in January, 2021. There is a great need for this school to serve the children from the Parish and the wider community. It will be a great service to the parish and the area.
- Notre Dame College, Dhaka
Notre Dame College (Dhaka) is the best-known of all our works. This college for boys in the heart of Dhaka has over 6000 students. It was begun in 1949 and has an outstanding reputation in all areas. Students study for the HSC exam and there is also a small Degree program with good results.
- Notre Dame College Mymensingh
Notre Dame College Mymensingh was founded in 2014 but has already made a name for itself. It is a college to prepare boys to pass the HSC exam and has had excellent results. It was begun at the requests of the local Bishop to mark 100 years of the beginning of the mission to the Garo Tribal people which Holy Cross began.
- Notre Dame University Bangladesh
Notre Dame University Bangladesh was begun in 2014 as the First Christian sponsored University in the Country. It has had wonderful success, with a very good interreligious support and cooperation. It is now engaged in greatly expanding its facilities.

You will notice that Holy Cross has Parishes in 7 of the 8 Diocese of Bangladesh and That 10 of the 15 Parishes are in service to minority Tribal Catholics, as befits a missionary oriented Congregation.
