Youth Ministries

  • 1971 – After the Liberation War of 1971 gradually the youth ministry began to be organized by the Catholic Church. The first organization was called Jubo Seba Dal or Youth Service Team. Holy Cross Priest Fr. Benjamin Costa, CSC was one of the first team members. Then he served many years as Chief Coordinator of the youth service team. After him Fr. Bakul S. Rozario, CSC, Fr. Atul M. Palma, CSC, and Fr. Hemanto P. Rozario, CSC were its Coordinators.
  • 1998 – Then the Bishops decided to make the Youth Service Team a Commission. In 1998 Fr. Adam S. Pereira, CSC was appointed to be its first National Secretary to implement the decision of the Bishops while Bishop Moses Costa, CSC was the Chairman of the Commission. They together evaluated the youth activities in Bangladesh and then prepared a Master Plan for the youth activities of the whole country.
Youth Ministries​

All Holy Cross Priests who are working in the various parishes are also working for the youth. They organize seminars, training programs, retreats etc. for the youth. Through parish schools, Notre Dame Colleges and the University also the Holy Cross Fathers serving the youth.
