Inauguration of the New Chapel at Aludanga Village, Radhanagar, Dinajpur

The inauguration ceremony of the new Chapel at Aludanga village took place on   14 March 2023 at 10 a.m. It was a historic day for the Catholics and others of Aludanga village under St Joseph Parish Radhanagar (Dinajpur Diocese) which is run by the Holy Cross Congregation Priests.  On this day, the Catholic faithful of Aludanga and other catechumens witnessed a new Chapel, which was blessed by His Excellency Most Rev. Sebastian Tudu, Bishop of Dinajpur, and inaugurated by Fr. George Kamal Rozario, CSC, Provincial of Sacred Heart of Jesus Province, Bangladesh. For this Inauguration program  Fr. Hori Machario Das, CSC, Parish Priest of St. Joseph Parish, Asst Fr. Kevin Kubi CSC, Fr , Sudhir Das, CSC, Parish Priest of  Khalippur Parish, Fr. Albert Soren, Fr. Josim Murmu, Sister Mary Jacinta Mrong, SSMI Provincial of Silesian Sisters, other Sisters and other priests from nearby parishes were present.

Here mentionable that the foundation stone for the new Chapel was laid on 10 October 2022 by  Fr. Thomas Eckert, C.S.C. Director of  Holy Cross Mission Center, IN, in the presence of villagers, parishioners, and other faithful.

The dream of the Aludanga village faithful came into a reality and the new Chapel was dedicated to Holy Cross and named Holy Cross Chapel. On this historical day faithful from different villages took part in the inaugural ceremony and participated in the Holy Eucharist. 

Soon after the Chapel inauguration and Eucharist, there was a festive meal for all the participants on behalf of the parish and the villagers. The residents of Aludanga were overwhelmed with such kind of blessings for their village and it was a moment of joy and happiness for them as memorable day.
