The Ordination of Deacon Juliyas Prince Rozario, CSC, the younger child of his parents, was held with shows and pomp on December 31, 2024, at St. Nicholas’ Church, Nagari. Most Rev. Bijoy N. D’ Cruze, OMI Archbishop of Dhaka Archdiocese ordained deacon Juliyas Rozario from the Congregation of Holy Cross Priests, with the active involvement of parishioners and a large number of priests, Brothers, and Sisters from various congregations and the diocese. Three days in a row were dedicated to the whole program for this ordination. Most Rev. Subotra B. Gomes, was present in an honored parade that day to welcome the deacon from St. Anthony’s Pilgrimage gate, Nagari, together with traditional musical instruments.
After that, the whole assembly prayed before the Blessed Sacrament on January 30, 2024 at 3:30 PM, asking for his well-being and the family’s prosperity because they had given their younger child as a sign of sacrifice. Following the worship, the customary Mongolunusthan took place at Navjyoti Bhaban of Nagari, during which he was touched on his hands with turmeric as a symbol of purity. Most Rev. Bijoy N. D’ Cruze, OMI ordained deacon Juliyas Rozario, CSC amid all the elated faithful the next day. At the reception program, Fr. George K. Rozario, CSC, the provincial, as well as all speakers acknowledged him as a smiling person who has struggled a lot for becoming a missionary priest, having spent nearly eight years as a professed religious in the province. The newly ordained priest Fr. Juliyas Rozario, CSC was co-celebrant with another newly ordained priest on January 1, 2025, giving thanks to God for all the blessings in his life and acknowledging all the contributions of all those who paved his way in this journey to fullness. The Provincial and large number of priests concelebrated the Thanksgiving Eucharist together. The villagers arranged a reception program at his village home. Finally, the Congregation of Holy Cross greeted the newly ordained Priest Fr. Juliyas Prince Rozario, CSC, with immense gladness.
